Heaven knows. Maybe they determine it by whether or not they need sunglasses to look at the dances. Is that not the dumbest thing you've heard lately in a world full of dumb things?

I totally forgot one, now I remember

when I started teaching I didn't know much about the history of belly dance, only from what I heard from my teachers and from the articles I could get. So of course I taught my students the same. Now probably there was just not much known or maybe my teachers were not properly informed but they always taught students that belly dance was at least 2000 years old. I did believe it because my grandparents took a picture of a statue in a museum and that statue is more than 2000 years old. That statue really looks like that of a belly dancer, with one hip lifted and her arms gracefully above her head.
I only was able to learn more about the history through internet and trough magazines from other countries. Quite shameful!!!!!!

So I'm guessing the glitter is supposed to go all over? I usually stay away from glitter except for eyes, hair, and maybe some along the collar bones because I'm not sure where you're supposed to draw the line between pretty and cheesy.

Yamiharu ~ I think I've seen that commercial before when I was watching a Real Madrid game at this Asturian place in Miami! How funny.

I have one, but it's so bad I can't confess it here But the reason I'm posting is to assure my fellow dancers that I'm truly ashamed of it, and it will never ever ever happen again, and that's the last I'll speak of it!

Body glitter. No. 'Nuff said.
