Dear Loubna,
Thank you for sharing these clips!! They were fabulous! I would like to learn the dance and perform it, but first I would have to find someoner who can teach it, and tell me about its significance, etc. It seems to have some sort of couples significance. There is a a dance from Saudi Arabia that I teach that is always done in couples, too, and it is an important cultural aspect of the dance. Looks to be the same here. It also is a social dance. I love the little belts with the teir-tier all over, especially with the white. Regards, A'isha |

Wow, Loubna, those are fantastic. Please post any more that you find. I have a question for you. Do you know of female dancers who dance on the metal drum like the "tap dancing" man? Or is this something only men do? I had heard about this dance but had never seen it before.
The other clips are also awesome, especially the one with the violin player and the four dancers in white. I love that music! Thanks for sharing! Best, Dunyah |

Had a workshop with NAWAL BENABDALLAH she is Moroccan and teach for over 20 years at Paris Oriental dance and Morocan style.
She is a great teacher, loves so much her cutlure and tryed to give it to us with an open heart. Yes its couple dance also, and social. The video's is a good example of the live style of it, in the workshop we did also more stage things, but the general style is the same. Till the workshop always finded quite simplistic the style but now i love it, its pure fun !!! Maria Aya ![]() |

moroccain dance is a social dance, the most significance on moroccain style is the hips and the behind. A lot of shimmy's in differents styles. Dancing is always with two of more persons. Astead bellydancing we don't use arms a lot. The hips get more attention. We also dance with oure haire a lot, with many different styles. isolation is also importent. I am original a moroccain, we dance this style a lot in weddings and party's |
